| Bais Menachem Hebrew Academy Family
Welcome to our Bais Menachem Hebrew Academy Family! Walk through our halls and you’ll feel the Ruach (spirit) and the passion that our children and teachers have for learning and life. Students’ colorful paintings line the walls. Songs echo from the classrooms and middle school students do science experiments in the halls to test the laws of physics. Menachem Hebrew Academy is alive with tradition, exploration and learning. As we strive to make our children excellent students, we also strive to make them mensches--wonderful, caring people with solid Jewish values.
Bais Menachem Hebrew Academy was founded in 1996 by Rochel Levertov, with 12 students. In 2002, the school moved to Chabad House on the University of Texas (UT) campus. The school out grew that space and moved again in 2005 to its current location at 7010 Village Center Drive in North Austin. The school is founded on the principals of providing the best secular and Jewish education without sacrificing one for the other.
The student body of BMHA is composed of the entire gamut of American and International Jews from affiliated to non-affiliated. Our philosophy is truly non-judgmental and we treat everyone equally regardless of their religious observance. We believe our school offers something that no other school offers in Austin . We are proud of our growing student population, our generous supporters, our giving volunteers and our wonderful teaching staff.
